Hitachi Zosen Inova has acquired Babcock & Wilcox Renewable Service ("BWRS"), originally founded as VODA A/S in 2018 in Denmark. BWRS serves as an aftermarket service partner for renewable biomass and waste-to-energy (WtE) combined heat and power (CHP) plants, irrespective of each plant’s supplier of technology for its power production. BWRS can perform a wide range of aftermarket services for its customers, including boiler and spare parts improvements, upgrades and troubleshooting, and other maintenance-related tasks to ensure customers’ facilities run smoothly. With this landmark acquisition, Hitachi Zosen Inova gains a strong presence in Scandinavia, as BWRS employs more than 160 people and serviced c. 300 customers in 2023.
